The Global Strategic Alliance

The Global Strategic Alliance (GSA) doctoral training programme is a new initiative that gives PhD students the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in different institutions and experience working cultures in other universities. Our GSA partners have been chosen as they have the complementary skills to facilitate such an approach. The alliance will generate a consortium who will work together to better understand the basic biology of S. aureus through host pathogen interaction and the development of novel interventions. Not only will the programme help students with their current studies, by learning new skills and techniques, but it will help students to establish working relationships outside of Sheffield that will support and foster their future networking activities.
